Export Error - " The query request has not been fully completed. There is a required element "default shipping" does not exist in QuickBooks..."

When AdvancePro performs its first export to QuickBooks it creates the following default items which are used in future exports:

1. Name: Tax Paid on Bills
Type: Expense Account
This item is created in QuickBooks US - it is used when Bills are created.

2. Name: Shipping
Type: Other Charge
This item is created in all versions of QuickBooks - this is used to record Invoice Shipping charges.

3. Name: Adjustment
Type: Other Charge
This item is created in all versions of QuickBooks - this is used to record Invoice Adjustment charges.

4. Name: Default Tax Agency
Type: Vendor Tax Agency
This item is created in QuickBooks US - it is used when creating taxes.

If any of these items do not exist in QuickBooks, or have been renamed or their type has been changed, errors will occur.

You must make sure that these items are listed in their Item List with the exact same name and type as specified above.

You can mark those accounts for re-export for V 5.10 and upwards

  • Go to ADMIN > Site settings > QuickBooks
  • Click the following button - "Re-export Default Items"
  • Next go to the QuickBooks section and export
